New Students' Application
SY 2025-2026

MGC New Life Christian Academy accepts students regardless of race, nationality, or creed. Students are accepted based on the results of the entrance assessment. Academic and behavioral standing in former school (if applicable) and/or an interview with students and parents are also considered.

Once admitted and enrolled, students must submit to the program, academic and disciplinary regulations and all other requirements instituted by the Administration.

The school is now authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate (Pre-Nursery to Grade 6) as well as accredited internationally by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Early Years Programme (EY): Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Kindergarten
The entrance test  will be a readiness assessment. The school accepts students for Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten levels without prior schooling but must pass the one-on-one assessment of readiness to be administered by an EY teacher.

For Primary Years and High School Programs
Applicants must have completed the level preceding the grade level they are applying for and must pass a written assessment to be administered by the Guidance and Testing Center. 

• Incoming Grade 1:  
  The entrance examination will cover a standardized test, and Chinese.

• Incoming Grade 2 - 10
  The entrance examination will cover a standardized test, and the subjects of Filipino and Chinese.

• Incoming Grade 11
  The entrance examination will cover a standardized test, and the subjects of English, Mathematics, Filipino, and Science.

Pre-Nursery - 48 (Birthday: October - December 2021, January to September 2022)

Nursery - 46 (Birthday: October - December 2020, January to September 2021)

Kindergarten (Afternoon class only) - 8 (Birthday: October - December 2019, January to September 2020)

Filipino Citizens

1. Original Birth Certificate  (PSA-issued)

2. Child’s Chinese Name in Chinese Characters in encoded format

(You may use a translation app such as Google Translate to get the Chinese characters of your handwritten Chinese name) 

3. Digital 1x1 photo on plain background

4. Special Needs assessment & reports (if applicable)

5. Additional requirements for Grades 1 - 11:

a. Certificate of Enrollment with Learner Reference Number (SY 2024-2025)

b. Letter Grade Equivalent Certificate - for schools that use letter grades

c. Progress Report Card SY 2023-2024 (for Grades 2 - 11 only)

d. Behavioral Information Sheet

e. Two (2) recommendation forms to be filled by the: 

i. Current homeroom teacher / adviser 

ii. Guidance Counselor / Supervisor ( if no guidance counselor)
*The child's current school must email these forms directly to admissions@mgcnewlife.edu.ph
Note: For homeschooled applicants, only one recommendation form is required from the program coordinator of the homeschool provider. 

Foreign Citizens

1. Original Birth Certificate (Government-issued with official English translation)

2. Photocopy of Passport and Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) / Immigration Records
   
   

3. Child’s Chinese Name in Chinese Characters (ENCODED FORMAT)

6. Additional requirements for Grades 1 - 11:

a. Certificate of Enrollment from the current school with official English translation (SY 2024-2025)

b. Letter Grade Equivalent Certificate - for schools that use letter grades with official English translation

c. Progress Report Card SY 2023-2024 with official English translation (for Grades 2 - 11 only)

d. Behavioral Information Sheet (see downloadable documents in the portal)

e. Two (2) recommendation forms to be filled by the:
